Phlebotomist - 1st Shift - In-Patient

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite hospital/inpatient setting; Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., with rotating weekends. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Salary: $23.87–$34.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data accurately and process billing information or payments when required.
• Provide customer service to patients and complete administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel to additional sites and work overtime as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of an accredited training program, or at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of inpatient phlebotomy experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, reliable transportation, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime and rotating weekends.
