What you will do
- Configure, install, maintain, and optimize database management systems.
- Manage user access and implement security policies to protect database systems and data.
- Perform capacity planning, growth projections, and database project planning with cross-functional teams.
- Propose and implement improvements to system performance and reliability.
- Develop backup and recovery plans and support recovery from system failures.
- Support end users and application developers in resolving complex database-related issues.
Requirements
- Experience implementing and managing Microsoft Windows Server 2016.
- Experience with VMware ESXi.
- Experience managing public or private cloud environments, especially migrating workloads from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud.
- Database administration experience covering configuration, security, performance, scalability, backup, and recovery.
Nice to have
- Automation experience, especially with Infrastructure as a Service.
- Vulnerability management experience.
- Experience with on-premises AD FS and Microsoft Active Directory, and/or Azure AD.
