Specialist, Configuration Management (Defense Tech)

Location: Palm Bay, Florida, United States; onsite

What you will do

• Apply configuration management processes and controls in an Agile development environment.
• Maintain traceability and integrity across product data, configuration items, requirements, designs, documentation, and baselines.
• Review and authorize engineering drawings, technical documentation, and associated records.
• Administer configuration management tools, including Agile PDM, Windchill, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Facilitate Configuration Control Board activities and assess the impact of proposed design changes.
• Support audits, training, user consultations, cost estimates, plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and 2 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Professional experience in configuration management.
• Experience with version control, document control, and product lifecycle management tools such as PLM, Agile PDM, SolidWorks, ClearCase, Subversion, Confluence, or Windchill.
• Ability to work onsite in Palm Bay, Florida.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EIA-649C, MIL-STD-973, and other configuration management standards.
• Configuration management certifications such as CMPIC or NDIA.
• Experience with statements of work, engineering drawings, schematics, and parts lists.
• Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification or experience.
• Flexibility to work overtime or outside normal business hours when required.
