Lead, Systems Engineering (Ground Segment Engineer) (Space Systems)

What you will do

• Lead an interdisciplinary ground segment engineering team and provide people management.
• Own and derive system requirements, decomposing complex requirements into detailed specifications.
• Design, implement, maintain, and sustain space mission engineering systems.
• Perform mission design, analysis, and operations activities.
• Provide system-level technical guidance to systems engineering, testing, and software teams.
• Verify test procedures and use cases and operate command-and-control tools such as TTC, SCN, MPS, and MDP.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree with at least 7 years, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Ground MDA/SDA LEOps and operations.
• Experience with ground-space command-and-control systems.
• Experience as a Product Owner, CAM, or IPTL in space mission engineering.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with DOORS, Linux, and Windows systems.

Nice to have

• Software engineering background.
• Experience with systems engineering standards, best practices, MBSE tools, and frameworks.
• Knowledge of space systems and subsystems, including spacecraft design and operations.
• Agile certification such as Scrum Master or Product Owner.
