Bacterial Immunoassay Development Senior Scientist (Vaccines)

Location: On premise in Pearl River, New York, United States. Candidates must have permanent work authorization in the United States; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $93,600–$156,000, plus a 12.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, qualify, validate, and manage the lifecycle of bacterial immunoassays.
• Lead assay design, feasibility assessment, method optimization, technology transfer, and clinical sample testing support.
• Apply bacterial immunology, immunoassay platforms, and functional assay methodologies to vaccine development programs.
• Develop innovative methods, troubleshoot scientific issues, and maintain data quality, reproducibility, and regulatory compliance.
• Interpret and communicate complex data to project teams and stakeholders across preclinical and clinical vaccine programs.
• Collaborate with clinical, statistical, regulatory, quality, and laboratory operations partners and contribute to reports, submissions, publications, and presentations.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of immunological principles and bacterial vaccine evaluation.
• PhD in immunology, microbiology, biological sciences, or a related discipline with 0–3 years of experience; or MBA/MS with 7–8 years; or BA/BS with 9–11 years.
• Demonstrated experience in immunoassay development, qualification, validation, and clinical testing.
• Hands-on experience with ELISA, multiplex immunoassays, functional antibody assays, or related immunological techniques.
• Strong experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting, scientific problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Equivalent education and relevant industry experience in bacterial immunoassay development, validation, and clinical testing.
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, scientific software, and common AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
