Reagent Test Assistant (IVD/Diagnostics)

Location: On-site, Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM; office locations referenced include Norwood, Billerica, and Waltham, Massachusetts, and Westbrook, Maine.

Salary: $23.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Test calibrators, controls, and additional reagents for company and OEM analyzers under supervision.
• Develop proficiency in the setup, qualification, operation, and troubleshooting of analyzers and laboratory equipment.
• Perform titrations, pH measurements, flame photometry, microbial culture testing, and viscosity measurements.
• Record test results accurately and communicate reagent and control specification status to laboratory leadership.
• Manage reagent packs and department supplies.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe test laboratory.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Entry-level knowledge of Quality System Regulations, OSHA safety standards, Good Laboratory Practice, and Good Manufacturing Practice.
• Ability to perform repetitive laboratory and computer tasks, distinguish colors, and maintain the required hand-eye coordination and visual acuity.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds several times per hour and perform extended periods of standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and climbing steps.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including laboratory and safety gear.
