Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: 100% in-office in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada; remote work is not offered

Salary: $30–$32 CAD per hour

What you will do

• Manage sourcing, quotations, cost analysis, purchase orders, and supplier communications for raw materials, tools, parts, and supplies.
• Maintain reliable supplier relationships and coordinate accurate, on-time deliveries.
• Track orders through fulfillment, expedite shipments, and address delivery discrepancies or delays.
• Maintain records covering lead times, pricing, order confirmations, and vendor issues.
• Improve purchasing processes and collaborate with supply chain, materials, warehouse, production, and transportation teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, operations management, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including MS Office, ERP, and other required applications.
• Ability to accurately track shipments and documentation while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated career ambition and potential to take on broader leadership responsibilities.
