Senior Analytics Engineer (AI)

Location: USA - Remote

Base salary: $185,000–$225,000 or $200,000–$240,000 annually, depending on work location and qualifications. Equity and, for some roles, a bonus are also offered.

What you will do

• Model conformed gold-layer entities for customers, accounts, projects, products, and contracts across Salesforce, the console, Stripe, and billing systems.
• Own semantic and metrics models so dashboards, notebooks, and AI agents return consistent definitions and numbers.
• Build tools, permissions, and MCP surfaces that allow analyst agents to navigate data safely.
• Define assertions for grain, uniqueness, and cross-system reconciliation, routing failures to accountable owners.
• Evaluate agent outputs against known-correct answers and track accuracy, refusal, and confidently-wrong rates.
• Answer questions from sales, product, and finance while leaving behind reusable models that reduce future analysis effort.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a technical individual contributor in analytics or data engineering.
• Production-grade SQL and Python experience, including scheduled code and instrumentation.
• Ownership of a semantic or metrics layer using dbt, Cube, LookML, or an equivalent technology.
• Strong data-modeling judgment around grain, keys, data defects, and business definitions.
• Experience working in unfinished infrastructure and creating processes while building the team foundation.
• Clear technical writing for definitions and contracts that other users can trust.

Nice to have

• Experience with usage-based or consumption business models and revenue concepts such as committed, consumed, invoiced, and recognized revenue.
• Experience with real-time billing and consumption systems.
• Experience with lakehouse architectures, including Iceberg, Athena, Trino, or similar tools.
• Contributions to open-source data or AI projects.
