Inventory Accounting Manager (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own inventory and cost accounting across raw materials, subassemblies, work in progress, and finished goods.
• Reconcile inventory quantities, costs, and records across NetSuite, MES, PLM, and WMS systems.
• Maintain cost models, including overhead allocation, labor and machine rates, purchase price variances, material usage variances, and production inefficiencies.
• Manage fixed assets, capitalization policies, depreciation, and the distinction between R&D prototypes and production assets.
• Lead transaction workflow automation, balance sheet reconciliations, lease accounting, technical accounting memos, and tax reporting support.
• Lead annual external financial audits and support government grant and incentive reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ years in cost and inventory accounting at a hardware or manufacturing company.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP for inventory accounting under ASC 330, fixed assets under ASC 360, leases under ASC 842, and R&D versus capitalizable costs.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience, ideally with inventory and manufacturing modules, plus experience integrating ERP data with MES, PLM, and WMS systems.
• Experience designing and documenting accounting controls and processes from scratch in a fast-scaling environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
