Product Engineer Intern (AI)

Location: Munich, Germany; in-office more than 4 days per week

What you will do

• Build and ship customer-facing features for an AI-native procurement platform.
• Contribute to the platform, agentic systems, integrations, and data layer.
• Depending on team placement, define product priorities, design AI-agent supervision patterns, engineer infrastructure, or develop data automation solutions.
• Work primarily within a technical team and contribute to cross-functional projects when appropriate.
• Independently own projects and collaborate with experienced product, design, engineering, and data professionals.

Requirements

• Experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a startup, scale-up, or demanding technical project.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.
• Self-driven, naturally curious, and comfortable working independently.
• A builder mindset demonstrated through shipped side projects, open-source contributions, AI tools, or products used by others.
• For Engineering: familiarity with a modern stack such as TypeScript or Python, shipped projects, and an instinct for clean, fast iteration.
• For Design: a portfolio or shipped work demonstrating taste, systems thinking, and the ability to simplify complexity.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI agents or automating personal workflows with tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, v0, or Lovable.
• Interest in improving the long-term competitiveness of European industry.
