Lead, Project Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama or Camden, Arkansas, United States; onsite role with 10% travel

What you will do

• Act as Deputy Chief Engineer or Lead Project Engineer on the Next Generation Interceptor program.
• Lead, perform, and coordinate propulsion program tasks with program management and technical leadership.
• Implement design and analysis activities, oversee special studies, and support the Program Chief Engineer across multiple integrated product teams.
• Prepare technical and design requirements, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Direct investigations and resolve challenging technical issues across functional areas.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and support control account management or earned value management duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of Project Engineer experience, or a graduate degree and at least 7 years of experience.
• Applicants without a degree must have at least 13 years of Project Engineer experience.
• Experience with technical problem-solving, design requirements, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical professionals and work independently and in team environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Nice to have

• Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Six or more years of experience with solid propellant propulsion projects.
• Control account management experience.
• Experience with root cause and corrective action processes and earned value management.
