Project Engineer (Training and Simulation)

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States; on-site professional office and development lab environment. Occasional travel is required, including CONUS/OCONUS travel, for approximately 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate technical execution across Integrated Product Teams for flight simulator programs.
• Plan, organize, integrate, execute, and close out engineering content across complex programs.
• Serve as the technical lead for engineering teams, including participation in peer reviews, gate reviews, and program management reviews.
• Coordinate technical activities among program IPTs and conduct regular Cost Account Management reviews.
• Own technical, cost, and schedule performance for engineering work packages.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, program management, and engineering leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• 8+ years of experience with USG/DoD development programs.
• 3+ years of engineering lead experience in USG/DoD development programs.
• 3+ years of experience with IBM/Rational or Atlassian development and collaboration tools, Earned Value Management, and Microsoft Project.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. Government contract requirements.
• Eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Advanced master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in the training and simulation industry.
• Experience acting as a liaison between program management, engineering management, and technical disciplines.
• Experience serving as the primary technical interface with USG/DoD customers.
