Reliability Engineer

Location: Bloomington, Indiana, United States; hybrid/onsite

What you will do

• Develop and implement reliability strategies, standards, and best practices for systems, equipment, and processes.
• Maintain supportability analysis models, risk assessments, and asset criticality rankings.
• Apply statistical analysis and reliability engineering tools to predict failures and support data-driven decisions.
• Analyze failure data, performance trends, and reliability metrics including availability, MTBF, MTTR, failure rates, and downtime.
• Identify single points of failure and develop mitigation, redundancy, and contingency strategies.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams and support design reviews focused on reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold, or be able to obtain, a U.S. government personnel security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related field.
• Experience with root cause analysis, FMEA, fault-tree analysis, or comparable reliability methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools such as Confluence or SharePoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with product support elements, reliability modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Experience with Windchill or Teamcenter.
