Special Projects Manager

Location: Atlanta, hybrid, with regular onsite presence at the airport facility

What you will do

• Lead site work end to end, including space evaluation, build-outs, moves, facilities operations, utilities, connectivity, access, security, maintenance, and vendor relationships.
• Define site strategy and infrastructure for autonomous vehicle fleets, including storage, charging, data offload, calibration, and service access.
• Manage equipment and procurement from requirements through deployment, support, inventory tracking, approvals, and documentation.
• Run device and account lifecycles for field teams, including carrier plans, mobile device management, provisioning, mounting, and recovery.
• Plan and deliver cross-functional projects, coordinating Operations, Engineering, Hardware, Safety, IT, Finance, People, vendors, and airport or airline stakeholders.
• Identify recurring operational friction and create processes, tools, automations, standards, and documentation to resolve it.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in operations, program or project management, chief of staff, facilities, procurement, or a comparable generalist role.
• Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous problems from initial definition to resolution with minimal supervision.
• Experience managing external vendors, contractors, or service providers, including scoping work and managing delivery.
• Ability to analyze costs, quotes, contracts, and commercial trade-offs and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Strong written communication and a reliable system for tracking commitments.
• Willingness to work onsite in Atlanta, including regular presence at the airport facility; ability to pass federal background checks, obtain and maintain an airport security badge, and hold a valid U.S. driver's license.

• Experience opening, building out, or relocating a physical site.
• Experience supporting frontline, hourly, or shift-based workforces.
• Background in aviation, logistics, manufacturing, construction, or field operations.
• Experience at an early-stage or high-growth company where processes were not yet established.
• Experience administering devices, carrier accounts, SaaS tools, or lightweight operational automations.
