Project Manager

Location: Must be within 100 miles of Lexington, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid role with a minimum of 80% onsite presence; onsite attendance may be required five days per week. Domestic travel to field sites is required.

What you will do

• Maintain and operate CAREN, motion capture, EMG, IMU, metabolic cost, projection, and other laboratory systems.
• Oversee laboratory spaces, equipment inventories, preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and staff training.
• Support experimental design, hardware selection and integration, testing, data collection, initial data processing, and procedure standardization.
• Plan and execute field data collections, including logistics, scheduling, equipment staging, external coordination, travel, and system testing.
• Coordinate facilities changes, laboratory renovations, resource allocation, timelines, and operational support.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain an active Secret Clearance; an interim clearance is sufficient to start.
• Must be located within 100 miles of Lexington, Massachusetts, and available for at least 80% onsite work.
• At least five years of experience with data collection in laboratory or field settings, project or program management, organization support, field deployments, and complex hardware/software systems.
• At least five years of experience operating a CAREN system.
• Experience with equipment maintenance, inventory tracking, safety and compliance oversight, experimental setup, hardware integration, initial data processing, and coordination with external parties.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage concurrent laboratory, data collection, and facilities priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating motion capture, EMG, IMU, or physiological monitoring systems into testing environments.
• Familiarity with EHS standards, laboratory compliance, facilities projects, and laboratory renovations.
• Experience with human-subjects research operations and relationships with equipment vendors or manufacturers.
