Database Administrator (MySQL/Postgres/SQL Server)

Salary: $105,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, monitor, and optimize databases supporting 26 products across three business divisions.
• Plan and maintain production database backups, disaster recovery, and logical storage structures.
• Monitor database health, security, and performance, tuning systems to prevent user-facing issues.
• Establish consistent database standards, configuration practices, and documentation across divisions.
• Manage patching, capacity planning, and access controls to reduce data-loss and security risks.
• Partner with engineering teams to troubleshoot database problems and improve product development capacity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Four or more years of experience administering production databases, including on-call support.
• Hands-on experience with one or more major relational database platforms: MySQL, Postgres, or Microsoft SQL Server.

Nice to have

• Experience administering multiple relational database platforms.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
