Database Engineer – Deployment and Support

What you will do

• Deploy enterprise databases as code using Terraform, Ansible, Liquibase, Flyway, DACPAC, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and operate high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, including Always On, Oracle Data Guard, PostgreSQL replication, and cloud failover.
• Provide L2/L3 operational support and participate in on-call rotations for replication, performance, backup, and corruption incidents.
• Optimize database performance and capacity using execution plans, wait statistics, Query Store, AWR, and pg_stat_statements.
• Manage patching, upgrades, lifecycle remediation, security controls, compliance documentation, and GxP validation.
• Automate operational tasks and onboard databases into Datadog and Splunk monitoring and observability platforms.

Requirements

• Enterprise database deployment and support experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL in large-scale global environments.
• Hands-on expertise in high availability, replication, backup and recovery, performance tuning, database security, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Terraform, schema migration tools, PowerShell, Python, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow, ITIL practices, Datadog, Splunk, and alert design.
• Fluent English is required.
• Strong ownership, incident management, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
