Internship - Turbocharging & Mixture Preparation Development (m/f/d)

Location: Austria; Engineering department in Jenbach. Full-time internship for at least 6 months, starting in 2027.

Base pay: at least EUR 2,755.26 gross per month, paid 14 times per year, according to the Austrian collective agreement.

What you will do

• Improve steady-state and transient performance of internal combustion engines through simulation and testing.
• Support gas engine development projects focused on performance improvements, cost reduction, and operating strategies.
• Support 1D simulation activities involving turbocharging and gas exchange.
• Conduct testing on single- and multi-cylinder engines, focusing on mixture preparation, gas exchange, and turbocharging.
• Analyze investigation results and field data, draw conclusions, and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with controls, design, mechanical engineering, exhaust gas aftertreatment, and test-bench functions.

Requirements

• Currently studying Mechanical Engineering or a similar subject.
• Basic knowledge and strong interest in internal combustion engines.
• Ability to work independently and high motivation.
• Basic ability to work in a global matrix organization.
• Good communication skills in English required.
