Lead Software Development Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Texas, United States, with two days per week in the office

What you will do

• Embed in development teams and collaborate across teams to deliver business value using intentional architecture.
• Develop software features, scaffolding, test automation, and testability improvements.
• Coach engineers and partner with managers, scrum masters, product owners, architects, vendors, and shared services.
• Research and champion modern tools, cloud technologies, Agile, DevOps, and secure development practices.
• Design automated testing and deployment pipelines supporting multiple releases per sprint.
• Maintain a production-first focus on scale, uptime, rapid issue resolution, and core-system support.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of software development experience.
• 2–4 years leading multi-developer projects; lead or subject-matter-expert experience is preferred.
• Expertise in one or more high-level programming languages, software architecture, and system design.
• Experience optimizing data architecture, database queries, and indexes for scalable products and services.
• Proficiency designing automated pipelines with automated testing and security controls, plus experience in Agile Scrum teams.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing features across mobile, web, and API service layers.
