Python Java Sr Software Engineer (Data Platform)

Location: Montreal, Canada

Salary: CAD 78,600–131,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain projects primarily in Java and Python.
• Harvest and process large datasets through internal systems for hirify.global’s data products.
• Contribute code to new and existing projects, debug issues, and participate in code reviews.
• Work with data models and data manipulation languages.
• Use technologies including Kafka, Kubernetes, Linked Data, RDF, JSON-LD, Databricks, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Apache Airflow, and Apache Iceberg where applicable.

Requirements

• Current and extensive development experience with Java and Python.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, XML, SQL, and UNIX.
• Proficiency with data manipulation languages and the ability to work with data models.
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Professional communication skills in both English and French.
• Located in the Montreal area.
