Media Network Engineer (Broadcast)

What you will do

• Plan, design, and implement highly available IP network architectures for broadcast and real-time media applications.
• Integrate SMPTE ST 2110, PTP, NMOS, and related broadcast standards across core and spine-leaf networks.
• Configure and optimize multicast, QoS, and RDMA/RoCEv2 for uncompressed 4K/8K media transport.
• Develop technical concepts, network designs, and bills of materials for customer tenders and infrastructure overhauls.
• Consult with clients and production teams on media workflows, capacity planning, resiliency, and deterministic network performance.
• Troubleshoot packet-level issues and maintain topology diagrams, addressing schemes, and project documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of hands-on network design and deployment experience in live media or broadcast environments.
• Deep expertise in SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2022-6/7, and PTP timing architectures based on SMPTE ST 2059.
• Expertise in multicast routing, including PIM, IGMP, and SSM, plus RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCEv2).
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco IP Fabric for Media, DCNM/NDFC, Arista EOS, or comparable media network platforms.
• Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking, EVPN-VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, telemetry, and uncompressed media workflows.

Nice to have

• CCNP, CCIE, ACE, or other relevant Cisco and Arista certifications.
• Experience with Arista media architectures, NMOS interfaces, and broadcast control systems such as Nevion VideoIPath or VSM.
