Company

hirify.global develops solid-state, human-safe directed-energy systems and power-management solutions for defense and commercial electronics.

What you will do

  • Define mechanical architectures for next-generation systems and develop technology that improves system performance and power efficiency.
  • Design and build electronics enclosures, mechanisms, mounting structures, harnesses, and cable assemblies for RF phased arrays.
  • Translate system objectives into mechanical requirements, load cases, weight budgets, and interface diagrams.
  • Perform structural and thermal analyses and support testing, prototyping, environmental qualification, and design verification.
  • Create CAD models and manufacturing drawings with tolerance analysis and GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
  • Lead mechanical design teams, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with electrical, RF, systems, manufacturing, supply chain, and external vendors.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural, or a related engineering field.
  • 8+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience with ownership across a full product lifecycle.
  • Expertise with SolidWorks or equivalent mechanical design packages and practical GD&T application.
  • Strong fundamentals in structures, thermodynamics, and mechanisms, plus basic FEA and structural and thermal hand calculations.
  • Experience assembling prototypes and first-article builds, including testing, troubleshooting, and minor fabrication.
  • Ability to understand and contribute to electrical schematics, diagrams, and interconnects.

Nice to have

  • MS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural, or a related engineering field.
  • Experience with kinematic synthesis, electric actuation, mechatronics, instrumentation, or phased-array design and analysis.
  • Experience testing systems under static loading, shock, and random-vibration environments.
  • Experience improving workflow scalability in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaborative work across electrical, RF, systems, manufacturing, and supply chain disciplines.
  • Emphasis on technical excellence, continuous learning, and continuous improvement of design practices.
  • Opportunity to work on high-performance defense and commercial electronics systems.
