Senior Data Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Montpellier, France; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Design and improve tools and platforms for engineering teams to build and operate their own data pipelines.
• Ship AI tooling, including Skills and MCP, as part of the data platform.
• Contribute to batch processing with Airflow and dbt and event-driven architecture with Kafka.
• Define, document, and promote engineering standards and best practices.
• Support teams in adopting platform tools and practices and help grow their technical skills.
• Promote the platform vision and build collaboration across teams in France and Brazil.

Requirements

• Solid experience in data engineering or platform engineering with strong software engineering practices.
• Strong expertise in at least one area such as data, infrastructure, software, streaming, or developer tooling, with willingness to learn across disciplines.
• Experience with several of Python, Ruby, Airflow, Kafka, Snowflake, dbt, and Terraform.
• Autonomous working style, clear communication, and enjoyment of collaboration and team enablement.
• Good English required for daily collaboration with teams in Brazil.
• Commitment to environmental responsibility, diversity, fairness, and inclusion.

Nice to have

• Background in platform engineering, infrastructure, software engineering, or an entrepreneurial environment.
• Curiosity about new tools and practices, including AI; prior AI expertise is not required.
