Big Data Developer (Market Risk)

Location: 100% remote, with flexibility to work from wherever you are; relocation to Spain indicated in the title.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain data lake pipelines using Apache Spark, Scala, and SQL.
• Build scalable data processing solutions for large data volumes and Market Risk use cases.
• Orchestrate batch workflows and dependencies with Control-M and Airflow.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, validation, and publication processes.
• Analyze and optimize Spark workload performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with Agile, functional, and production support teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in Big Data, data lakes, or cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Scala, and SQL for large-scale data processing.
• Good understanding of data lake architecture, data quality controls, data lineage, and production-grade pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• English at C1 level or equivalent professional fluency.

Nice to have

• Experience with Control-M, Airflow, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or YARN.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
• Experience in banking production environments, monitoring, incident management, and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of Market Risk processes, including P&L, valuations, risk metrics, and regulatory reporting.
• Spanish language skills.
