Staff Software Engineer, DevOps (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Architect and build a hybrid Kubernetes platform across Amazon EKS and self-managed clusters on virtualized infrastructure.
• Evolve the multi-account AWS foundation, including governance, IAM, VPC networking, DNS, and connectivity to company sites.
• Establish SLOs, error budgets, observability, incident response, on-call practices, and blameless postmortems.
• Enable Digital, Data Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, and enterprise teams through CI/CD templates, GitOps patterns, infrastructure libraries, and self-service environments.
• Support manufacturing, plant-floor, data pipeline, AI, and agentic workloads across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Write production infrastructure and code, lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and maintain documentation and runbooks.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering, including experience setting technical direction.
• Deep production AWS experience across multi-account environments, including IAM, VPC networking, hybrid connectivity, DNS, EKS, containers, serverless, and managed data services.
• Production Kubernetes experience on EKS and self-managed VM or bare-metal clusters, including networking, ingress, storage, RBAC, lifecycle management, and upgrades.
• Strong Python and infrastructure-as-code skills; AWS CDK is preferred. Ability to make targeted changes to TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions or similar tools, GitOps, Argo CD or Flux, Helm, Kustomize, observability, incident management, and on-call operations.
• Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing, industrial, or OT environments.
• Experience running GPU, machine learning, AI, or agentic workloads on Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with VMware, policy as code, service mesh, or GitHub Enterprise administration.
• AWS Professional or Specialty certification.
