Systems Engineering Manager (Space System Studies)

What you will do

• Lead technical project teams during the predevelopment phase of a space-based early warning system.
• Coordinate system development activities across consortium partners and internal engineering departments.
• Analyse customer, mission, and system requirements; perform functional analysis, build requirements trees, and identify adaptations.
• Define mission and system architectures, system-of-systems concepts, technical interfaces, and operational concepts.
• Prepare and coordinate design, development, and verification plans, including DDV, AIV, and AIT activities.
• Contribute to project success across schedule, cost, quality, strategy implementation, and potentially project management.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of experience across multiple space projects and key development lifecycle phases.
• Strong expertise in requirements engineering, mission analysis, system architecture, and end-to-end space system design.
• Experience defining specifications, interfaces, system-of-systems concepts, and operational concepts for payloads, launchers, and ground segments.
• Knowledge of performance and budget analysis, quality assurance, development planning, qualification activities, TRL assessment, risk management, stakeholder management, and ECSS standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict-management, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
