Associate Counsel - Gaming & Compliance

Location: New York, USA; hybrid schedule with eligible employees able to work remotely one day per week. Onsite work in the New York and New Jersey offices requires full COVID-19 vaccination, subject to eligible accommodations.

Salary: $200,000–$245,000 annually, plus an annual discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Administer and enhance sports betting integrity systems in coordination with internal stakeholders and league partners.
• Adapt integrity monitoring infrastructure for sports prediction markets and work with analytics teams to refine a comprehensive monitoring platform.
• Provide legal and regulatory guidance on hirify.global rules and applicable federal, state, and international laws.
• Develop and administer Gaming Policy training, education, and awareness programs across the league office, leagues, and teams.
• Support investigations into potential Gaming Policy violations and help develop marketing rules for sports betting and prediction markets.
• Handle special projects related to league governance, policy, gaming, and compliance.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and bar admission.
• Three to five years of law firm or in-house legal department experience in litigation or compliance.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and oral presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience interviewing or deposing individuals.
• Understanding of betting markets and related terminology; ability to analyze numbers and data.
