Company

hirify.global builds energy intelligence software that helps large energy consumers manage power through real-time control of energy assets and visibility into energy portfolios.

What you will do

  • Own the real-time telemetry, controls, and model predictive optimization roadmap for distributed energy resources.
  • Drive integrations with battery energy storage system manufacturers, meters, and other equipment, including telemetry ingestion, alarms, protocols, and multi-device site configurations.
  • Define end-to-end dispatch requirements from the cloud optimizer to customer-site devices and design recovery behavior for failures.
  • Partner with engineering and data science on optimization engine decisions, site-to-cloud architecture, and execution of optimized schedules.
  • Write technical product requirements, test plans, and operational scenarios for engineers, operators, and customers.
  • Lead deployment, general availability, rollback planning, results reporting, and reliability prioritization using dispatch health metrics.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of product management experience with grid-connected distributed energy resources software, embedded systems, or industrial control systems; alternatively, 2–4 years in a related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with software connected to physical hardware and its reliability, latency, and integration challenges.
  • Working knowledge of device communication and messaging protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, or NATS, or experience integrating third-party hardware vendors.
  • Technical foundation in distributed systems, edge computing, or IoT, including site-to-cloud architectures, buffering, retries, and failure modes.
  • Comfort reading API specifications and telemetry data.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of optimization, forecasting, load smoothing, or low-voltage ride-through requirements.
  • Experience with site commissioning, field operations, or NOC workflows.
  • Familiarity with PJM and wholesale energy markets, including capacity markets, demand response, and flexible load commitments.
  • Experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI, utility SCADA integrations, or market access provider APIs.
  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Culture & Benefits

  • Empathy, humility, transparency, and constructive feedback are core working principles.
  • Focus on renewable energy technology and software for the electricity system.
  • Competitive compensation with an equity grant.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plus a 401(k).
  • Flexible hours, unlimited PTO, and a dihirify.global and inclusive working environment.
