Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Akamai)

What you will do

• Design and manage Akamai CDN, WAF, DNS, and edge security solutions.
• Optimize security policies, traffic routing, caching, bot protection, and certificate management.
• Automate infrastructure and platform operations with Terraform, infrastructure as code, and APIs.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD solutions.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, availability, and security.

Requirements

• Strong experience in site reliability engineering and/or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Akamai CDN, WAF, DNS, and edge security.
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure as code experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, Kubernetes, and Azure and/or AWS.
• Automation or development experience with C#, .NET, Go, Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, monitoring, and observability.

Nice to have

• Experience with Akamai Property Manager, Application & API Protector, Bot Manager, EdgeWorkers, or GTM.
• Experience with Akamai APIs and platform automation.
• Knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and capacity planning.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
