TL;DR

Senior Java Developer (Fintech): Building and enhancing high-performance backend services for a trading ecosystem supporting platform integrations, order management, margin calculations, and profit-and-loss processing with an accent on precision-critical financial calculations and real-time communication. Focus on integrating trading platforms through REST and WebSocket APIs, optimizing distributed microservices, and ensuring reliable processing of financial data.

Location: Hybrid in Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Kraków, Poland, with 2–3 days in the office weekly

Salary: 1,200–1,550 PLN per day on a B2B contract

What you will do

Design and develop backend services for high-performance trading platform integrations.
Integrate external trading systems using REST and WebSocket APIs.
Implement order management workflows and services for margin, risk, and profit-and-loss calculations.
Ensure accuracy in financial calculations, currency handling, and rounding rules.
Optimize performance and reliability in real-time distributed systems and microservices.
Collaborate with product, architecture, and business stakeholders, support production incidents, and contribute to technical design decisions.

Requirements

8+ years of backend development experience.
Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
Experience integrating external systems through REST and WebSocket APIs.
Strong understanding of order lifecycle management, margin calculations, P&L logic, and precision-critical financial processing.
Experience with distributed systems, microservice architectures, and regulated financial services, brokerage, capital markets, or trading environments.
Ability to discuss practical use of AI-assisted engineering tools; an engineering degree is highly preferred.

Nice to have

Experience with TraderEvolution.
Experience building trading platforms or brokerage solutions.
Knowledge of market data feeds, trading workflows, low-latency systems, or real-time systems.
