Trade Compliance Specialist (Export Compliance)

Location: Fully remote near Blacksburg, Virginia, United States; regular travel to the Blacksburg location is required

Salary: $65,000–$85,000 annually

What you will do

• Support international trade operations as a subject matter expert in export regulations.
• Perform KYC and due diligence, denied-party screening, and export license administration.
• Advise on the export of goods, technical data, services, foreign travel, foreign visitors, and Technology Control Plans.
• Support the company compliance program and increase compliance awareness through personnel training.
• Administer U.S. government export authorizations, including post-approval monitoring and coordination with program teams.
• Help functional departments develop compliant processes and work procedures while supporting domestic and international business travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with 3 years of experience, or an associate degree with 7 years of experience.
• Experience working in or supporting a manufacturing organization or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, ATF, and OFAC.
• Direct export licensing experience is highly desired.
• Regular travel to the Blacksburg, Virginia location is required.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
