Software Engineer (Distributed Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid; applicants advancing to the offer stage may be asked to attend an in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub.

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and maintain distributed infrastructure with high availability, low latency, and horizontal scalability.
• Optimize kernel and network stacks, investigate bottlenecks, and improve resource utilization across global server fleets.
• Build automation frameworks and internal tooling for infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and monitoring.
• Support reliability through architecture reviews, capacity planning, and proactive system health monitoring.
• Collaborate with Security, Network Engineering, and Product teams to integrate infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• Professional experience building and managing large-scale distributed systems or Linux production environments.
• Proficiency in at least one systems programming or scripting language, with experience writing clean, maintainable code.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex system-level failures.
• Experience using AI to optimize daily work.
• Ability to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export laws without requiring sponsorship for an export license.

Nice to have

• Experience managing containerized workloads at scale with Kubernetes, Docker, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, SaltStack, or other configuration-management and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure testing.
