Project Manager – Space Propulsion

Location: Delft, South Holland, Netherlands. The role includes travel to offices, suppliers, or customer locations for approximately 10% of working time.

What you will do

• Manage multiple satellite propulsion projects across schedule, budget, scope, resources, risks, and customer commitments.
• Lead projects from contract handover through requirements definition, design, procurement, production, integration, testing, and final delivery.
• Coordinate engineering, supply chain, production, AIT, quality, and other multidisciplinary functions.
• Act as the primary customer interface and translate technical and commercial requirements into executable priorities.
• Identify bottlenecks and deviations, establish recovery actions, escalate decisions, and provide evidence-based forecasts and reports.
• Manage scope changes, contractual deliverables, acceptance criteria, project documentation, and Contract Change Notices.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• At least three years of project management experience in aerospace or defence, or at least five years in manufacturing or another high-tech product environment.
• Hands-on experience delivering complex engineering or hardware projects and managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and customer commitments.
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to coordinate engineers, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Ability to obtain Dutch, NATO, or EU security clearances.

Nice to have

• Experience with spacecraft, space propulsion, aerospace, defence, or other safety- and mission-critical products.
• Knowledge of spacecraft development, systems engineering, verification, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Experience delivering physical products through industrialization, manufacturing, integration, and test.
• Experience with integrated project plans, risk registers, budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
• Experience with Wrike, MS Project, Jira, or equivalent project management tools.
