Unit Manager

Location: The Hague, Netherlands; hybrid work with 50% in the office and 50% at home. Candidates must reside in the Netherlands or EU/EEA and have a valid permit to reside and work in the Netherlands.

Salary: €4,333–€6,665 gross per month, based on 36 hours per week.

What you will do

• Lead the Project Management Support function and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership and support organizational goals.
• Ensure effective project delivery, administration, operational excellence, and high-quality support.
• Oversee budgeting, resource planning, cost recovery, and project financial performance.
• Strengthen governance, risk management, audit readiness, and quality standards.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a diverse multidisciplinary team while building partnerships across the organization.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• More than five years of project management and coordination experience, preferably in an international organization.
• At least three years of experience leading and developing diverse teams.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, performance management, and risk awareness.
• Experience improving workflows and processes and supporting system implementations.
• Excellent written and verbal English and a valid permit to reside and work in the Netherlands are required.
