Lead Technician - Wiring Harness (EV)

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite lab role

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Review Jira work requests and assign work to wiring harness technicians.
• Check work orders, prepare wiring harness kits, and update Jira ticket status.
• Track hardware inventory in the lab.
• Coach junior technicians on crimping, soldering, and related assembly techniques.
• Diagnose and repair faulty harnesses, and build complex harnesses and PCBAs.
• Support harness quality audits and enforce strict cleanliness and safety standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Lab Manager, preferably in a power electronics or electrical lab within the automotive or aerospace industry.
• Experience managing technicians.
• Experience with Jira and Coupa.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of 2D drawing layouts and motivation to learn and take ownership.
• Current or prior IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification, familiarity with J-STD-001, and knowledge of high-voltage safety protocols and orange-cable handling and shielding.

• Experience with 5S, Six Sigma, or similar quality management frameworks.
