Supplier Quality Engineer (Stainless Steel)

What you will do

• Manage supplier quality for the MEGA project, primarily covering stainless-steel products.
• Drive supplier quality improvement plans and ensure timely closure of corrective actions and SCARs.
• Conduct supplier audits and evaluate supplier and sub-supplier processes against organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Manage supplier surveillance data, quality databases, metrics, and supplier scorecards.
• Support supplier risk management, sourcing decisions, supplier transitions, and new project development.
• Coordinate with the Global Commodity team, sourcing teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; engineering or mechanical engineering background preferred.
• At least 10 years of Quality and Engineering experience, including at least 5 years as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
• Experience with supplier audits, new project development or management, problem-solving, and analytical work.
• Experience with stainless-steel processes such as forging, casting, and machining; valve manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ESG, APQP, PPAP, 8D, and supplier quality tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English; willingness to travel.

Nice to have

• Experience in a foreign company, export-oriented manufacturing, valve manufacturing, or the automotive industry.
• Understanding of UL, NSF, and WQA requirements.
