Commodity Manager (PCBA)

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico, or other hirify.global locations in Mexico. Hybrid role with regular onsite work and at least three days per week in the office; up to two remote days may be available after onboarding. Travel of up to 25% domestically and internationally is required.

What you will do

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the direct-material PCBA commodity.
• Lead cost-containment initiatives, inflation forecasting, and supplier negotiations.
• Improve working capital through payment-term optimization, inventory reduction, and shorter lead times.
• Build capacity plans and regionalization roadmaps for commodity assemblies.
• Conduct RFQs and electronic auctions and execute supplier agreements.
• Partner with Supplier Quality to improve supplier performance, reduce PPM, and manage corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Three to five years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related functions.
• One to three years of experience in commodity management or category-specific sourcing.
• Experience developing and sourcing suppliers for electronic assemblies.
• Strong project management, process improvement, communication, and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and data analysis tools.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Five or more years of procurement or sourcing experience.
• Experience managing a commodity, leading a project team, or owning a category strategy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
• Familiarity with DDSC or Perfect Execution methodologies.
