Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement to work 2 days per week from an HPE office in the United States; salary information specifies California.

Salary: USD 183,000–389,500 annual base salary in California, United States.

What you will do

• Develop VLSI design and development strategies and technology roadmaps across the global business unit and company.
• Provide VLSI consultation and design input for prototypes and new products.
• Lead design reviews across organizations, architectures, projects, and product teams.
• Provide technical leadership for multiple engineering teams and influence executive leadership, development partners, and industry standards groups.
• Identify emerging VLSI technologies and initiate new projects and programs.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the selection and development of future technical leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Typically 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in electrical engineering fundamentals, VLSI principles, digital logic, and computer architecture.
• Expertise designing VLSI components, integrated circuits, architectures, and algorithms.
• Expertise in programming and scripting, hardware description languages, EDA, and/or FPGA tools.
• Strong executive-level written and verbal communication skills and mastery of English and the applicable local language.

• Multiple patents, publications, or technical presentations in VLSI or electronic and hardware component design and tools.
