Senior Product Lead Data Science (AI)

Location: Den Haag, Netherlands. Hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Candidates must currently reside in the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the personalization platform.
• Translate data capabilities into product features and user stories for engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
• Prioritize initiatives, make trade-off decisions, and define KPIs and success metrics.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, engineering, design, marketing, and commercial teams.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for personalized recommendations, content, pricing, and customer experiences.
• Build experimentation frameworks and improve personalization through behavioral data, feature engineering, and model monitoring.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• 3–6 years of Product Owner experience, preferably in a commercial organization.
• At least 2 years of experience with GenAI and Large Language Models in an advisory, consultancy, or Product Owner role.
• Fluent English is required; Dutch is preferred.
• Experience with agile methods, SQL, Spark or similar tools, AWS, and MLOps practices.
• Knowledge of experimentation methodologies, including A/B testing, statistical significance, and causal inference.

Nice to have

• Experience with personalization, recommendation systems, or search ranking.
• 3+ years of hands-on data science experience building and shipping production ML models.
• Proficiency in Python and data science libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
