Manager, Engineering

Salary: $120,000–$208,000 annually, plus potential annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Lead and manage engineering teams building and maintaining software systems for customers and employees.
• Design, develop, and deploy highly available, low-latency, scalable solutions.
• Guide technical architecture for software, platforms, integrations, and tools, and document technical and integration architectures.
• Define and execute team roadmaps in collaboration with Product and Platform Owners, Quality Assurance, and other teams in an agile environment.
• Measure features and system metrics to improve user experience and service performance.
• Grow engineers through coaching, mentoring, feedback, career development, and hands-on technical leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional development experience and 2+ years of recent experience managing an engineering team.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Deep understanding of software and development engineering principles and concepts.
• Deep technical skills in one or more of JavaScript development, C# development, SQL development, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Node.js, React, AWS, CI/CD, Mulesoft, or Salesforce, depending on the team.
• Knowledge of system design, data structures, and algorithms; experience with distributed or scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications.
• Ability to process and analyze large data sets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and build consensus.
• Ability to thrive under pressure, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, exercise sound judgment, make swift decisions, and maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience; commitment to continuing education in current and emerging technologies.
