Bankruptcy Specialist II (Mortgage)

What you will do

• Manage bankruptcy cases, including loan documentation, deadlines, payments, compliance, complex cases, and escalated issues.
• Oversee preparation and execution of proofs of claim, motions for relief, affidavits, and other legal documents.
• Communicate and negotiate with attorneys, property preservation vendors, and other service providers.
• Calculate financial figures and ensure bankruptcy actions meet federal, state, investor, and company requirements.
• Identify process improvements, contribute to policies and procedures, and support system enhancement projects.
• Mentor entry-level Bankruptcy Specialists and support team efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a Bankruptcy Specialist or two years in a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and investor bankruptcy requirements.
• Experience managing complex bankruptcy cases and resolving escalated issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications, plus the ability to work independently, collaborate, and mentor junior staff.
