DevSecOps Systems Engineer

Salary: USD 130,000–150,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze complex systems integration challenges and develop practical technical approaches.
• Integrate, test, and operationalize software capabilities with developers, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, testing, security scanning, artifact management, and deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across Linux environments, APIs, services, data flows, distributed applications, and messaging systems.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Apache Kafka, Git, and GitLab to support deployment and technical investigations.
• Coordinate demonstrations, testing, documentation, security activities, and the transition from proof of concept to operational use.

Requirements

• Active DoW Secret Clearance or above.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems integration, software development, DevSecOps, systems engineering, software testing, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, software development lifecycles, CI/CD, technical testing, and integration problem-solving.
• Experience with Git or GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Apache Kafka or similar messaging technologies, and Linux command-line troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and take ownership of complex problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with federal, DoW, or other government technology programs.
• Experience obtaining cybersecurity approvals or authorization for software and integrated capabilities.
• Experience with configuration management, deployment, Agile development, integration testing, demonstrations, or operational test events.
• Familiarity with Kotlin, Java, or similar programming languages.
