Foundry Interface Engineer (Bitcoin)

What you will do

• Review foundry silicon data against SPICE and design goals, perform SPICE-to-silicon gap analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with foundry partners.
• Identify device and process changes that enable efficient low-voltage operation and improve circuit performance and energy efficiency.
• Manage foundry PDKs, design kits, device models, and design-library collateral with external vendors and internal teams.
• Guide IP and design teams on technology offerings in line with performance, power, area, and cost requirements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, customization, test-chip, methodology, packaging, product-test, and circuit-design teams during product bring-up and productization.
• Analyze production wafer data and contribute to binning strategies that maximize parametric yield.

Requirements

• 10+ years of post-education experience in fab or fabless environments, technology definition and bring-up, device or process architecture, and new product introduction.
• Experience with foundry design kits, SPICE, design-rule and design-rule-check evaluation, and SPICE-to-silicon assessment.
• Experience with advanced-node device physics, including FinFET or GAA, backside power, and product design phases.
• Experience with product KPIs, DTCO, parametric analysis, DLY/PLY analysis, and gap closure.
• Understanding of low-power design techniques, layout effects, and their impact on circuit design.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, physics, or a related engineering field focused on semiconductor materials, devices, or device physics.
• Production test development experience and previous experience at semiconductor foundries.
• Familiarity with advanced 3nm and 2nm FinFET technology nodes, PDKs, device models, standard-cell design, and layout.
