Vice President, Product Owner (AI/ML)

Location: Office-based in Cary, North Carolina, or Carrollton, Texas

Salary: $110,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and champion the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end lifecycle for a lending-experience product.
• Identify and deliver AI, machine learning, and generative AI capabilities for document processing, underwriting support, customer service, and predictive risk scoring.
• Translate business and market needs into goals, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, process flows, and data analyses.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog while contributing to Agile ceremonies and collaborating with development, technology, data science, and UAT teams.
• Lead complex, high-profile initiatives across departments and manage product documentation, testing, risk mitigation, and launch planning.
• Drive operational efficiencies, measurable outcomes, revenue opportunities, and cost-saving improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience applying Agile methodologies and delivering complex technology products or programs.
• Hands-on experience defining requirements for and delivering AI, machine learning, or natural language processing products.
• Strong understanding of product management, business analysis, process improvement, AI/ML product lifecycles, data management, and software architecture.
• Proficiency with Agile and project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence, plus high proficiency with G-Suite.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, strategic decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills; financial services or mortgage experience is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools, Snowflake, SQL Server, .NET, XML/EDI, GTM, or Google Analytics.
• Experience in financial services, particularly the mortgage industry.
