ERP Application Development Manager - Italy (SAP)

Location: Rome, Italy. Hybrid working model with flexibility.

Salary: €46,000–€59,000 annual starting compensation. Eligible employees may receive a performance-based bonus with a 10% target.

What you will do

• Support, maintain, and enhance SAP business processes across Finance, Procurement, Commercial, and Corporate functions.
• Analyze business requirements and lead process improvement and SAP solution design initiatives.
• Participate in projects, system enhancements, releases, testing, deployment, application lifecycle management, and post-go-live support.
• Coordinate external consultants, implementation partners, and support providers.
• Collaborate with local ERP teams, international corporate ERP organizations, business stakeholders, and global IT teams.
• Support SAP integrations, maintain documentation, and identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and AI-enabled efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of SAP experience in consulting or corporate environments, including project delivery and application support.
• Proven experience across multiple SAP functional domains, including SAP FI, SAP CO, SAP Treasury/Cash Management, SAP MM, SAP SD, and SAP Ariba.
• Experience with Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and Commercial processes, including end-to-end business processes and cross-functional integrations.
• Experience working in complex and international SAP organizations and collaborating with local ERP teams and global corporate ERP organizations.
• Experience coordinating external consultants, implementation partners, and support providers.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP architecture, configuration, integration concepts, development principles, and ABAP logic.
• Experience with technical specifications, debugging, troubleshooting, technical analysis, interfaces, APIs, middleware, integration frameworks, and data-flow impact analysis.
• Ability to bridge business requirements and technical implementation, engage with senior business stakeholders and management teams, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent Italian and professional working proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, stakeholder-management, customer-oriented, continuous-improvement, and results-driven capabilities.

• Experience with ERP modernization and process optimization initiatives.
• Familiarity with reporting, analytics, and automation solutions.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI technologies applied to ERP processes and IT operations.
• Experience using AI-powered tools to improve productivity, automate repetitive activities, accelerate solution delivery, and enhance knowledge management.
