Senior Aircraft Technician - Avionics (Contract)

Location: Grand Prairie, Texas, United States; 98% onsite. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. Travel is less than 5% domestically and internationally.

What you will do

• Repair, replace, install, and maintain assigned electronic aircraft components and systems using component maintenance manuals.
• Set up and operate automatic and bench test equipment to verify component performance.
• Diagnose and isolate faults from LRU and SRU levels down to individual electronic components.
• Perform touch-up and through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards.
• Complete maintenance orders, coordinate parts and supplies, and ensure current maintenance data is used.
• Conduct final tests while following FAA, OSHA, safety, environmental, and ESD requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least four years of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and inspecting aviation avionics systems.
• Experience with electronic test equipment, printed circuit boards, and component-level troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Windows, SAP, HTML, ZOC, RS232, and IEEE-based computer systems.
• Current US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available for this US position.
• Ability to work onsite, use required PPE, and perform standing, walking, lifting, and other production-floor activities.

Nice to have

• Trade school education.
• FCC license.
• Through-hole soldering certification.
