What you will do
- Coordinate planning, execution, and delivery of bioinformatics assay development efforts within timelines and budget constraints.
- Design study design and perform all analysis for assay development in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop statistical and machine learning techniques to evaluate assay performance and create optimization strategies.
- Build scalable, production-grade workflows for high-throughput NGS data analysis using AWS and containerized environments.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (CAP/CLIA, FDA, IVDR) with rigorous testing and documentation; support regulatory submissions and audits.
- Communicate analysis results and mentor junior bioinformatics team members.
Requirements
- PhD or MS in bioinformatics, computational biology, or an adjacent field (biostatistics, statistics, or computer science).
- 6β7+ years of experience in bioinformatics analysis, algorithm development, and pipeline implementation.
- Strong expertise in NGS technologies and library preparation methods (e.g., WGS, enrichment, RNA-Seq, methylation).
- Proficiency in quantitative transcriptomics (e.g., differential expression, dimension reduction, expression-based classifiers, RNA signatures, cell type deconvolution).
- Experience developing and deploying bioinformatics workflows in AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, Step Functions, Batch, Lambda).
- Strong Python proficiency (including testing frameworks and SDLC best practices) and working knowledge of R.
Culture & Benefits
- Purpose-driven work focused on transforming cancer care.
- Competitive compensation with potential discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
- Inclusive, values-guided environment with collaboration across teams.
- Mentorship and growth opportunities within the Bioinformatics and Data Science organization.
