Senior Principal Backend Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel; primarily office-based

Develops cybersecurity products focused on protecting digital environments and detecting and responding to threats.

What you will do

• Design and build infrastructure capable of processing, storing, and exposing billions of events per second.
• Develop systems using integrated endpoint, network, and cloud data to reduce noise and identify real threats.
• Own the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, deployment, and support.
• Write clean, testable, readable, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Drive the strategy and execution of the Autonomous SOC investigation and response solution.

Requirements

• 9+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with distributed cloud products and scalable server-side applications.
• Experience with database technologies including MySQL, Cassandra, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, and Elasticsearch.
• Mandatory experience with agentic tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode.
• BSc in Computer Science, equivalent knowledge, or equivalent military experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go or Python.
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Knowledge of graph databases and cybersecurity.
