Senior Backend Engineer (Python) (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate production-grade customer-facing AI agents in Python.
• Develop multi-step agentic workflows that understand intent, maintain context, reason over information, use tools, call APIs, and take actions.
• Integrate agents with hirify.global APIs, data, internal services, and external systems.
• Build reliable backend applications that handle failures, retries, timeouts, unexpected inputs, and live customer traffic.
• Evaluate and improve agent quality through production data, offline and online evaluations, regression testing, experimentation, and customer feedback.
• Own backend systems across design, implementation, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience with Python, including strong system design and application development expertise.
• Production experience designing, building, and operating AI agents or agentic applications, including orchestration, tool usage, context and memory management, and multi-step workflows.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, ADK, or similar agent orchestration frameworks.
• High proficiency in Python for production-grade AI applications and backend services.
• Experience integrating applications with APIs, databases, internal services, external systems, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and scalable microservices architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and product collaboration skills.
