Junior Data Analyst

Location: Onsite at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia, USA

Salary: $40,000–$43,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the development, revision, and validation of aircraft carrier maintenance manuals, work breakdown structures, and process instructions.
• Develop and manage Class Maintenance Plans and Baseline Availability Work Packages for aircraft carrier lifecycle maintenance.
• Conduct end-of-availability reviews and validate completion of work-package items.
• Update maintenance planning and maintenance history databases using work-package completion, financial, and material data.
• Review ship maintenance project data to support planning, budget development, and maintenance-plan refinement.
• Develop and maintain metrics while coordinating with naval and industrial stakeholders.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate significant amounts of information accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, along with query, report-writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, take initiative, and determine effective approaches to complex tasks.
• Secret security clearance required.

Nice to have

• Experience with U-NNPI, P-OMMS, and CSMP programs and databases.
• Knowledge of Navy ship maintenance and modernization.
